Dream. Believe. Create.
When I was a little girl, I dreamed a lot. I dreamed of having a sleepover with my friends, I dreamed of getting the coolest toy for Christmas, and I dreamed the big dreams of living in a big mansion with a butler, and of having a fancy sports car to drive. The smaller dreams were easy to come, easy go. It was so easy to ask your mom, dad, aunt, or grandma for those small ticket items and keep asking them till you got what you wanted. But the big stuff… those are dreams for big girls, and those dreams are filed away in the storage cabinet of the brain waiting to come out again. Waiting for the time when favorable conditions may exist in life where you can dream the big dreams and help them unfold with determination and grit. What are your big dreams? Do you have a big dream? Go back to your dreams, dream up the big dreams, and gather the courage to go after them.
When I was a little girl, I believed in magic, until magic left on its own. Sad day when Santa doesn’t exist. Now I believe in the spirit of Christmas and the magic of Christmas happens when you believe in the beauty of Christmas. The energy you put out into the universe with upbeat conversations, happy smiles on your face, and the need to give come back at you in positive ways. Christmas magic we’ll call it. What do you believe in? When you believe in something it doesn’t need to be tangible. I can now recall as an adult what gets you through most events in life is the belief that others have in you to complete a task/job. Take this belief and believe in yourself. Where will your newfound self-beliefs take you? The energy you put out to believe in yourself will make doors open for you and turn those dreams into beliefs of what is yours.
When I was a little girl I liked to create objects, beautify paper with bright colors, and craft my way to fun designs. I look at myself now and see that my creation is diminished, I need to find the time to create beauty again with simple intentions. Creating is also putting the energy into creating a world of hope, inspiration, and joy for you and those around you. What if we took time to create artistically with intention? Or taking time to create inspiration? Our brains would engage on both sides and we would have more well-rounded individuals. Creativity is in all of us from a young age and somewhere on the journey we have stifled it, pushed it down, and not made time for it. Take the time to create something this year. If we take our dreams and believe in ourselves then we can create a beautiful life leaving a legacy to follow with our innovations of creativity.
