You don't know this, but you should hear it from me. Thank you for being you. You cared enough about me to let me be me. I, like most individuals, am not always the easiest person to deal with but that is what makes me, me, and you never once punished me for that. You always supported me in the kindest most uplifting way you knew how. I am ever so grateful I had the experience to be taught by you. Going forward it has helped me appreciate that people in this world are different and it takes each one of us and our unique talents to make the world go round. I will always remember your pleasantries, your competitive ways, and your rewards. Thank you for getting me involved in sports and allowing me a voice in the classroom that I could use in effective ways as my spirit needed rejuvenation from prior teachings. I will carry forward the spark inside of me to inquisitively question the people guiding me along my journey as it is my guide to sorting through the world. The ripples you added to my life will last a lifetime. Continue to serve the community with your quirky demeanor and support the children the best way you know how for years to come as you will impact so many lives along the way. When you are ready to hang up your pencil, your smart board, your desk, or your gym whistle, remember you lit the way for generations of students to become themselves.
