IMPACT

To the teacher who had a profound impact on me;

You don't know this, but you should hear it from me. Thank you for being you. You cared enough about me to let me be me. I, like most individuals, am not always the easiest person to deal with but that is what makes me, me, and you never once punished me for that. You always supported me in the kindest most uplifting way you knew how. I am ever so grateful I had the experience to be taught by you. Going forward it has helped me appreciate that people in this world are different and it takes each one of us and our unique talents to make the world go round. I will always remember your pleasantries, your competitive ways, and your rewards. Thank you for getting me involved in sports and allowing me a voice in the classroom that I could use in effective ways as my spirit needed rejuvenation from prior teachings. I will carry forward the spark inside of me to inquisitively question the people guiding me along my journey as it is my guide to sorting through the world. The ripples you added to my life will last a lifetime. Continue to serve the community with your quirky demeanor and support the children the best way you know how for years to come as you will impact so many lives along the way. When you are ready to hang up your pencil, your smart board, your desk, or your gym whistle, remember you lit the way for generations of students to become themselves.

What You Seek is Seeking You

Think of a time when you wanted something so badly, you told everyone you knew about it, you shared it with your world of friends and acquaintances, and before you knew it, it came true.

As we are merely energy forces existing upon this very surface, when we throw things out into the universe we receive them in return.

We put so much of our energy into the desired goal, tangible good, or extravagant dream that we fester up the ability to obtain it with ease as the universe works with us to accomplish it.

Can you see the stars aligning?

Let’s take your desire and energy with determination to cultivate the ripples to achieve it, with the help of the universe and by committing yourself fully to the challenge in front of you, you will reach your target.

You are searching for it and it is searching for you. Go out and get it. It is yours to have. The lights will shine for you in the moments you need them.

Invest your energy in yourself and you will reap the rewards you sought out to achieve. Find joy in the journey to your destination, while smiling at the twist and turns along the way.

Always remember you have the power within yourself to accomplish anything you put your mind to. The key to greatness lives inside of you. Unlock the power and show the world what you are here to do!

Soul Fire

She has fire in her soul and grace in her heart. Passion runs through you, you have dreams, goals, and desires, it is up to you to use that fire burning deep inside of you to go get whatever it is you are dreaming of. No one can do it for you and there is no easy way. Success is in the journey of acquiring your dream with each step you take toward it. I believe in you; you need to believe in yourself and find the courage to move forward to accomplish that desire.

Think of that little girl that lives inside of you, she is still there and always will be. Tell her everything will be ok; give her a hug and tell her you are going to try and if you don’t succeed you will get back up and try again. Your success is built on failure so keep trying. That little girl didn’t give up so easily when she wanted something, instead, she re-thought how she could approach the problem, persuade whoever was in her way, and go after what she wanted with confidence. Stand tall in your pursuit and do with love and kindness in your heart with all the grace you carry.

We were all confident ballerinas a time or two ago. Dance like no one is watching now, sing like no one can hear you and always love with all your heart like you have never been hurt before. Spread your joy through the four walls of your house and home while you find your passion to live for dreams, goals, and desires. Better than yesterday, and one day at a time, you will find yourself stepping one step higher than the day before. Your fire burning inside of you will light the way while your grace keeps you humble in the pursuit of development. Ignite your soul and move with passion.

Spoken Word

Spoken word

There comes a time in the world when we need to use spoken words to communicate our way through a situation, we need to make clear a point or feel the need to have our point made. Some of us are very well-spoken with the words rolling off the tongue flawlessly and are able to manipulate with great intent the result we are looking for through persuasive speaking. But what about the written word? Does it hold the same weight and message to hold up our side of the story, our perspective, or our outlook on the situation? Our body language holds our words high or throws them slamming to the ground with one swift movement of a hand, how awe-inspiring. Who knew my handshake could change the way my words are perceived by the receiver or the look stowed upon my face could ultimately find me caught defending myself. Is there a cultural difference between you and me that could change your thoughts into deceived perceptions of another being?

The Written Word although powerful in its own entity, poured through heart and soul to communicate a story on paper; long, short, brief, to the point with great intent to be known by the reader. But how are words so lost in translation on the page? Did we write them wrong? Or were our thoughts cloudy when we wrote the story we wanted the world to hear? Maybe the reader has a preconceived thought when they opened the book and they are in turn interpreting my words wrong. How lost can they be that the smile upon my face and overabundance of joy at this moment did not make it in expression to the words you read. Did the thoughts jumble in your space that they appear skipped through and misguided to the end where the subject is now twisted to conform to the way you want to believe? Am I as powerful as you in my attempt to write a story as you are to speak the story?

Dream. Believe. Create.

Dream.              Believe.              Create.

When I was a little girl, I dreamed a lot. I dreamed of having a sleepover with my friends, I dreamed of getting the coolest toy for Christmas, and I dreamed the big dreams of living in a big mansion with a butler, and of having a fancy sports car to drive. The smaller dreams were easy to come, easy go. It was so easy to ask your mom, dad, aunt, or grandma for those small ticket items and keep asking them till you got what you wanted. But the big stuff… those are dreams for big girls, and those dreams are filed away in the storage cabinet of the brain waiting to come out again. Waiting for the time when favorable conditions may exist in life where you can dream the big dreams and help them unfold with determination and grit. What are your big dreams? Do you have a big dream? Go back to your dreams, dream up the big dreams, and gather the courage to go after them.

When I was a little girl, I believed in magic, until magic left on its own. Sad day when Santa doesn’t exist. Now I believe in the spirit of Christmas and the magic of Christmas happens when you believe in the beauty of Christmas. The energy you put out into the universe with upbeat conversations, happy smiles on your face, and the need to give come back at you in positive ways. Christmas magic we’ll call it. What do you believe in? When you believe in something it doesn’t need to be tangible. I can now recall as an adult what gets you through most events in life is the belief that others have in you to complete a task/job. Take this belief and believe in yourself. Where will your newfound self-beliefs take you? The energy you put out to believe in yourself will make doors open for you and turn those dreams into beliefs of what is yours.

When I was a little girl I liked to create objects, beautify paper with bright colors, and craft my way to fun designs. I look at myself now and see that my creation is diminished, I need to find the time to create beauty again with simple intentions. Creating is also putting the energy into creating a world of hope, inspiration, and joy for you and those around you. What if we took time to create artistically with intention? Or taking time to create inspiration? Our brains would engage on both sides and we would have more well-rounded individuals. Creativity is in all of us from a young age and somewhere on the journey we have stifled it, pushed it down, and not made time for it. Take the time to create something this year. If we take our dreams and believe in ourselves then we can create a beautiful life leaving a legacy to follow with our innovations of creativity.

The Light Inside of You

If you could be the starlight in the universe your light would shimmer and shine and brighten or dull depending on the day but never burn out as so much desire to succeed blazes inside of you.

Travel Home Day

I don't feel I have anything to write but I guess deep down I have something to say.

It is home ward travel day. Currently in Melbourne it is April 1, 2023 and 10am in the morning. Our first flight is to Auckland New Zealand with a three hour lay over and then at 8pm Auckland time we fly to Vancouver, still April 1 and when we arrive in Vancouver it is 1pm April 1.. Literally the longest day of travel.

It is bittersweet. Australia is a beautiful country and warm. Oh the warmth is so beautiful. I am amazed that I was able to be on vacation for three weeks. This is the longest vacation I have taken in my working career. I have enjoyed the places we have visited, the people we have met, and the journey we have embarked on and am sad to go, but I look forward to seeing my friends and family back home.

Take care of the memories, smile at the destinations, and remark upon the journeys.
